Current progression route

Fields of Mistria Mines Guide: Routes & Progression

Treat each Mines trip as one focused run. Confirm the live quest and unlocked elevator range, choose progression, ore, artifacts, monsters, fish, or a request item as the target, and leave enough time and inventory space to return safely.

Confirm the entrance and unlock state

  1. Open the current quest log and look for the Mines progression objective before planning a deep run.
  2. Use the northern part of the Narrows as the current entrance cross-check.
  3. Confirm which elevator floors and seals are already available in this save.
  4. Read any new 1.0 dungeon quest before selling late-game ore, forageables, fish, artifacts, or monster materials.
  5. Use the live quest text when an older guide gives a different unlock condition.

Choose one objective before entering

  • Progression: reach the next live elevator, seal, quest room, or story checkpoint.
  • Resources: target one current biome and one material family instead of collecting everything.
  • Museum: protect the first unfamiliar artifact, fish, insect, or forageable until checking the collection panel.
  • Requests: carry only the tools, food, and empty slots needed for the active objective.
  • Combat: keep a health and return-time buffer instead of extending a run after the main goal is complete.

Use biome names as navigation, not a loot promise

The reviewed Mines source currently organizes the route as the Upper Mines, Tide Caverns, Deep Earth, Lava Caves, and Ancient Ruins. These labels help you record where an item was found, but patch-sensitive drops, monsters, rooms, perks, and reward behavior must be checked in the current build.

Protect progression materials

  1. Check whether the item appears in an active story or Request Board objective.
  2. Check the Museum before selling the first unfamiliar artifact or biome collectible.
  3. Keep a small reserve of late-game ore and monster materials before crafting gifts or decor.
  4. Record biome and floor range for anything that will be needed again.
  5. Sell confirmed surplus only after the quest, museum, crafting, and relationship checks are clear.

Apply the latest official patch boundary

Official patch v1.0.2 adjusted item drop rates for monsters in the final Mines biome and adjusted the elevator interaction range. Patch v1.0.3 fixed an occasional elevator crash and a crash in a final Mines cutscene. Those notes are evidence that exact drop behavior and progression stability are update-sensitive, so the live game overrides older route tables.

Verification boundary

What still needs live verification

Exact drops, enemy behavior, floor events, unlock requirements, and rewards can change after patches. This guide does not publish unverified drop rates or a permanent floor-loot table.

Official descriptions establish stable scope. Interface paths, balance, values, rewards, schedules, and version-specific behavior must still be checked in the current game build.

Quick answers

Fields of Mistria Mines Guide: Routes & Progression FAQ

Where are the Mines in Fields of Mistria?

The current Mines reference places the entrance at the northernmost part of the Narrows. Confirm the live map and active unlock quest in your save.

What should I bring into the Mines?

Bring the tools and food required for one chosen objective, plus empty inventory slots and a health, stamina, and return-time buffer.

Should I sell new mine artifacts?

Check the Museum and active quests first. Protect the first required copy and sell only confirmed surplus.

Are old drop tables still reliable in 1.0?

Not permanently. Official v1.0.2 notes changed final-biome monster drop rates, so current game results and dated sources take priority.
